Family Heroes: Helen Roseveare

ImageYou might be forgiven for thinking that Christian Heroes are only from the past – you might be forgiven – but you’d definitely be wrong. Helen Roseveare is one of my heroines and her friend Pat. I’ve gone on a mini road trip with them round the Black Isle. I’ve visited their home in Belfast. I’ve been astonished at Helen’s story from her missionary years and her life story after the mission – witnessing first hand both her and Pat’s commitment and energy for mission and the local church.

Helen is an example of a missionary heroine who is still at work and writing today. You can even see an interview with her by following this link: http://smithton.smithtonchurch.com/2011/04/15/dr-helen-roseveare-interview/
