… but it is. The Gospel is simple – and that’s what Douglas Macmillan discovered.
This booklet has already been translated into several Eastern European languages. It’s the wonderful story of how God brought an Atheist to faith in Christ.
Douglas was brought up as a Christian but left the faith as a young teenager. He did not believe in God … but then all the world’s beauty and order couldn’t have come from nothing! The Atheist had his doubts!
When Douglas heard the words, ‘God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life’ he thought, ‘It can’t be as simple as that.’
Then a friend held out two hands and said, ‘In this hand, I’ll give you everything you are afraid of losing; and in this hand I’ll give you Christ.’
Douglas realised that it was as simple as that after all.
‘If I can really have Christ as my Saviour, I’ll take him,’ Douglas said. And as soon as he had said that, his heart was filled with joy and love.
