These are three little hardback books which capture the timeless wisdom of the book of proverbs along with the timeless feel of truly good Children’s illustrations. That’s why I like these books. The pictures remind me of the very best illustrations you would get with the Ladybird books all those years ago. And when I read the wisdom from Proverbs it makes me realise that this is a very important part of God’s word and children need to learn from it.
I suppose we all remember wise words that we wished we’d listened to, that we wished we’d obeyed. Perhaps we look back and think how much better life would be now if we’d only done as we’d been told.
That may very well be the case… but we can spend too much time dwelling on the past. Let’s look to our futures and the futures of our children. They will make their own mistakes but let’s not make the mistake of not opening God’s word to them and teaching them true wisdom.
